Diplomat Daniel Taub was born in the year 1962 in the United Kingdom where he was also raised. In his journey for education, Daniel Taub went to Haberdasher’s Aske’s Boys School.

He later joined a number of universities for higher learning namely; Harvard University, University College in London and University College in Oxford. While at the universities he studied international law and specialized in counter-terrorism and also in the laws of war.

In the year 1989 he moved to Israel where he worked as a combat medic in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and as a standby officer in the IDF’s international law section too. Learn more about Daniel Taub:

While serving as the Principal Deputy Legal Advisor in the Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Daniel Taub expertise in legal affairs was so instrumental to the Israel’s missions to the United Nations in both Geneva and New York. He was also tasked with the responsibility of representing Israel in a lot of multilateral meetings.

To a great extent Daniel Taub was also involved in the peace negotiation processes between Israel and many countries such as Syria and Palestine. In the year 2011, he was appointed as the Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom which he served up to the year 2015.

During his years of service as Ambassador he placed more emphasis on technology and trade and he even went ahead to introduce Bizcamp start-up competition in collaboration with google.

Diplomat Daniel Taub was awarded the Grassroot Diplomat initiative award in the year 2013 for assisting young start-ups and businesspersons. All his efforts was never in vain because the fruits reflected during his four years of service when trade between Israel and the United Kingdom increased greatly.

Taub had a great respect for diversity and ensured by all means the people of Israel lived in peace and harmony. He did this by putting a clear focus on cosmopolitan and interdenominational activity.

In conjunction with other ambassadors, he organised a number of cultural occasions in the quest for reaching out to all the existing cultural and ethnic groups including the Israeli community in the United Kingdom.

In the year 2014 Daniel Taub, Israel’s ambassador to Britain decided to visit the city of Bradford after its Member of Parliament representative, George Galloway, decided to declare that Israel should not visit the area. He said that his visit was following an invitation from amongst his community. He further said that in that visit he would be holding a number of consultations with other legislatures, faith leaders and also other groups of people.

Daniel Taub is a lecturer and a humorous public speaker too. Currently he is working at the Yad Hanadiv foundation as the Director of Strategy and Planning.
